Shopping trip to Cologne, Germany

I was almost one week in Cologne, because of a huge craft fair there. I didn't expect anything, nothing at all. Within four hours I went out with 24 different fabric designs, stamps, ribbons, beads, buttons and other making every crafter crazy supplies. More pictures on my Flickr, by the way.
It felt like a heaven! Imagine only 1 (in words: one) craft shop in your town and being there, on the biggest craft fair in Germany, I mean, there is no need for further explains!
The goal - shopping - was consequently continued, and I ended up in Duesseldorf. The trip was dedicated to Japanese stores. I've heard there is the biggest Japanese community in Germany. I found everything I wanted, bento supplies, craft books and stationery. Left money at Habitat and Muji and went back to Cologne, to the hick town in forty-minutes-distance. I even found some porcelain and pottery on a flea market on my last day there, Sunday.
With excess luggage I headed up to the airport Cologne/Bonn on Monday and.......missed my flight! The lady at TUIfly told me the next machine to Salzburg will be on the next day, Tuesday. Of course I wanted to get home on the same day. So I took the longest train travel of my life. From Cologne to Koblenz, Frankfurt/Main, Wuerzburg, Nurenberg, Munich, Traunstein. The German Rail told us we should take a bus to get to Freilassing and from there to Salzburg, main station, I thought not me and ordered my corporate taxi. Another 30 minutes, and I was home at long last! I never forget this trip.
I took pictures and wrote a diary, something like My adventures thru Germany (pics are uploaded on my Flickr, as always) but hey, I'd rather be too early than travel again that long. The next possibility is on the day after tomorrow, I'm heading up to Germany again.
I'll spend two weeks in Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Hamburg. Very interesting project, I'll tell you later.
