Jewelry display, II

Making DIY jewelry displays is going to be fantastic, quick and inexpensive fun. Now I needed smaller display to showcase wonderful jewelries made from mammoth's tusk. Fortunately, I had Ribba frame from Ikea sitting around and fabric leftover from my last project, huge display (please read previous post).

All you need:

:: a picture frame (you won't need the glas),
:: a tape (you can take double adhesive tape, I just used what I had),
:: a piece of fabric (i.e. velvet),
:: scissors.

Cut a stripe from tape in the length you need, mine was 15 cm I think. Fold ends together.

Fold again.

Place folded tape on the back of the frame.

Push the fabric on to tape.

Repeat on all sides. You may need three stripes each on longer sides of frame. It should look like this when you're done.

Put the back on to frame.

Now it's ready to showcase your jewelry.

DIY display

Lately I needed a display to show all wonderful accessories. The idea of showcase them on a black underground came pretty spontaneous, I needed:

* 1 big picture frame (mine is from Ikea and I found it on a flea market),
* a stapler,
* thick interlining,
* velvet or velour in black.

As first I put the glass of the frame away.

Cut the interlining approximately 5 cm (2") bigger than the back wall of the frame.

and fixed the interlining with a stapler on the back wall.

I checked if it still fits in to the frame.

Did the same with the fabric, put the wall on to the frame, and:
